Press Release

Cantemus Begins Its Fifth Decade with a New Director, Auditions, and Our Season Preview

Old World, New Worlds

(August 8, 2022) — Join the people of Cantemus on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 478 Boston Street, Topsfield MA (Route 1) for our Season Preview. Come and discover the wonderful music we’ll be performing during our 41st season, our first under the leadership of Jason Iannuzzi, our new Artistic Director.

All are welcome to this free event. Whether you want to pick up a musical score and sing some of the season’s music with us, or just relax and listen to the chorus take our first steps toward building great performances, it’s always a lively and fun evening.

Two important health and safety requirements: All who attend must be fully vaccinated with age-eligible booster(s) against Covid-19, show their vaccination card, and wear a well-fitting mask.

Cantemus is auditioning!

If you’ve ever thought about singing with Cantemus, instead of just listening, or know somebody else who might like to join us, here’s your opportunity. Auditions will take place prior to our Sept. 13th and 20th rehearsals, also at Our Savior Lutheran Church, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please email us at to schedule your audition. Cantemus gratefully acknowledges funding support for the 2021- 22 season from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Local Cultural Councils of Beverly, Essex, Georgetown, Groveland, Hamilton/Wenham, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, and Salisbury.
